- Thoughts of Love
- By Peggy June

-
- We're holding hands as we walk along the
city streets.
- The air is alive with fall breezes
- Billowing his shirt, blowing my hair in my
face.
- He pulls me to him at a corner
- Squeezes my shoulder, kisses the top of my
head,
- Says, "You're such a sugar."
- I laugh and hug him back.
- I wonder if he knows how much it means to me
for him to do that.
- I guess he does.
- Thirty-two years is a long time to be
married and not know.
- Still, I should tell him.
